MANUAL TEAMWORK, LEADERSHIP AND NEGOTIATION

TEAMWORK, LEADERSHIP AND NEGOTIATION

• Monitoring and evaluation: so that actual developments can be compared with what was planned and any deviations can be addressed. • Coordination of the full complexity of resources involved. • Decision-making; with the consequent capacity to take risks. The figure of the leader will be of vital importance.

Many projects, even with significant resources and excellent human capital, fail due to poor process management.

People management

The human factor and the way in which this component is managed is fundamental in project work. What must people do and be in order to achieve the objectives set? Remember that the project is carried out with and for people. It is important to manage with their qualities and skills in mind. Don't forget that personnel management also covers the external environment of the company. There are different groups of individuals (involved to a greater or lesser extent) who have to be taken care of and coordinated:

• Project management team. • External collaborators. • Suppliers. • Client. • Trade unions.

It will need to be adapted to the demands and nature of each. The type of feedback an external collaborator may need to receive may be very different from that required by an internal team member due to the nature of the relationship or lack of proximity.
