Role tension

It occurs when there is a contradiction between our values and the role we are called upon to play.

I was advised not to select young people's CVs for this job.

We get messages that contradict each other.

According to the occupational risk assessment, we have to invest a certain amount of money in improving working conditions. The company manager is constantly bombarding us with messages of cost containment.

5.3. Perception and social attribution

We perceive people influenced by a multitude of factors. Our perception of others is often distorted, either because of a bad first impression or a lack of information about the other person. Why is this the case? How can we arrive at more objective perceptions of others?

We are going to review what elements influence the social attribution we make of people, with the aim of becoming aware of them.

CASE: A DISTORTED PERCEPTION
