• Expected results.

Write down the results we want to achieve in this negotiation. Write down the things to achieve and the things we would like to achieve. Include "intangible" outcomes if they are important in this case.

• Prioritisation of results.

Arrange what needs to be achieved in order of importance. Highlight two or three key points in particular.

• Needs and resources analysis.

The aim is to complete all quadrants according to known or simply assumed costs and values as shown in the figure below.
