An assessment of the complexity of the task should be made by a knowledgeable and experienced person or team. • Identify the types of resources required: human, material, equipment. • Detail a cost estimate. It should be borne in mind that resources are limited and need to be optimised. Also make sure that tasks, resources and responsibility are allocated to members according to their competencies.

Gantt Chart

The project plan can be represented in the form of a Gantt chart. It is a simple chart that provides a visual representation of a programme, showing what happens, when, who is responsible for what and what the deadline is.

It serves to plan programmes, monitor progress and anticipate conflicting periods, or to allow some leeway for tasks to be accomplished or to delay them.

It shows the beginning and end of each activity, and the activities that can be carried out simultaneously.
