This phase is fundamental. Planning is the tool that will serve as a reference to carry out the project, to organise resources and to meet the established deadlines.

What to include?

• Identification of tasks. • Relationship between tasks. • Resource estimation. • Time period to perform each task. • Estimated costs. • Set up the working teams: project team, support teams and external collaborators.

What is the aim?

• Simulate the development of the project. • To have a reference for monitoring. • Anticipate potential problems. • To have an instrument to coordinate and inform staff, to limit roles and time.

3. Implementation

It is the implementation of the project, based on the planning.

The project manager will lead the team and will be in charge of coordinating all the staff involved; he/she will also report periodically to all the people involved.

Maximum teamwork phase, special attention should be paid to the interpersonal and communication skills that come into play.
